Live board
Live posting switches on with one quick setup

The live board loads right here as soon as the free Disqus account is connected — steps are in the owner setup box below. Once it's on, anyone can post with just their name.

Owner setup — turn on live posting (one-time, about 5 minutes)

This page is ready to go — it just needs a free Disqus account plugged in. Disqus is what carries the messages between everyone's phones and computers, and with guest posting on, nobody needs an account or password — they type their name and post.

  1. Go to disqus.com and create a free account, then choose “I want to install Disqus on my site.”
  2. Pick a Website Name (for example, kulia-message-board). That name becomes your shortname.
  3. In this page's code, replace the placeholder YOUR-DISQUS-SHORTNAME with your shortname — it's on one clearly marked line near the bottom of the file: var DISQUS_SHORTNAME = 'YOUR-DISQUS-SHORTNAME'; (Or just send the shortname to Muse and it'll be wired in for you.)
  4. In Disqus, open Admin → Settings → Community and turn on Guest Commenting. That's the switch that makes name-only posting work.
  5. Done — the four topics on this page (Kulia, Team Hawaii Beach, Laquiji, and General) each get their own conversation automatically. You moderate everything from Disqus Admin → Moderation: approve, delete, or block as needed.

One heads-up: the free Disqus plan shows small ads inside the board area. That's the trade-off for free — the paid plan removes them.
